Patch and Baxter

Patch and Baxter

Patch and Baxter. Don't those names just scream cuteness?!? When their mom booked their session, she sent over a picture of the two of them and I about melted right there in my chair. The big floppy ears on Baxter and the super-fuzzy black and white marking on Patch stole my heart. These two are quite the pair.

Patch is the Lab/Jack Russell big brother and enjoys his younger sibling enough to wrestle and play keep-away. He'll do anything for a treat and when he looks up at you with those amazing golden eyes, you'll be feeding him non-stop! Usually his brother... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Harper Lee and Jane Austen

Harper Lee and Jane Austen

If you know that slightest thing about literature, you'll get a kick out of Harper Lee and Jane Austen's names. I mean, how adorable is that clever combo?

Believe it or not, Harper Lee is actually a happy, goofy, white Goldendoodle while Jane Austen is a tiny, squirmy King Charles puppy. Together, they are just plain ol' adorable.

We spent their pet portrait session hanging out on their porch and backyard. I was told they spend countless hours propped up on the half-wall of the patio just staring out at Lake Norman while... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Windi & Crickett Beach Session

Windi & Crickett Beach Session

Last week I introduced you to Windi and Crickett - two pretty cool and fun Shelties that spend their time as therapy dogs in the children's hospital. A couple weeks after our session, we took a day-trip with their mom to Folly Beach, SC. Their mom has spent quite a bit of time down there and she volunteered to show me around so I could be more prepared for my upcoming beach sessions.

I've done a number of sessions at the beach but on this particular day, the wind was seriously CRAZY! We tried to keep the pups out of the blowing sand but they didn't seem to... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Zena & Lucy

Zena & Lucy

Zena and Lucy are two little cuddlebugs that flaunted their best head tilts for the camera a couple weeks ago.

Zena, the white Maltese, was so interested in the funny sounds coming from my mouth. She looked at the camera so inquisitively and I had a great time capturing some of those funny expressions. Lucy on the other hand, had me figured out. She knew if she... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Windi and Crickett

Windi and Crickett

I've had a nice run of clients with pretty amazing and talented dogs. The latest pair are Windi and Crickett - two little Shelties with a gift for working with children. They are both therapy dogs that comfort children in the hospital. I like to imagine the huge smiles that come over the kids' faces when these tiny fluff balls come in the room. Nothing like doggie kisses to make you... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Lacy

Lacy

Lacy's photo shoot was the best kind of Angel Session. She wasn't leaving this Earth. In fact, she was about to go off to her forever home as a service and protection dog. Her mom and trainer of four years wanted to document the love she has for this amazing dog before her very hard goodbye just days after our shoot. That was four years of teaching, practicing, perfecting skills. Oh, and that came with a huge side of compassion and love. And I could see why right away... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Brawley Animal Hospital

Brawley Animal Hospital

This past Saturday marked the Grand Opening of the brand new Brawley Animal Hospital in Mooresville!!!

They recently moved from a much smaller building into a newly redesigned and finished space. I saw many stages of the construction project and I was blown away with how perfect the new space ended up! If you are up in the Lake Norman area, you must pop in and see what a spectacular facility this is for you and your pet. Not to mention, they have some pretty stinkin' cute...(click on the image above to continue reading)
