If you know that slightest thing about literature, you'll get a kick out of Harper Lee and Jane Austen's names. I mean, how adorable is that clever combo?

Believe it or not, Harper Lee is actually a happy, goofy, white Goldendoodle while Jane Austen is a tiny, squirmy King Charles puppy. Together, they are just plain ol' adorable.

Last week I introduced you to Windi and Crickett - two pretty cool and fun Shelties that spend their time as therapy dogs in the children's hospital. A couple weeks after our session, we took a day-trip with their mom to Folly Beach, SC. Their mom has spent quite a bit of time down there and she volunteered to show me around so I could be more prepared for my upcoming beach sessions.

Lacy's photo shoot was the best kind of Angel Session. She wasn't leaving this Earth. In fact, she was about to go off to her forever home as a service and protection dog. Her mom and trainer of four years wanted to document the love she has for this amazing dog before her very hard goodbye just days after our shoot. That was four years of teaching, practicing, perfecting skills. This past Saturday marked the Grand Opening of the brand new Brawley Animal Hospital in Mooresville!!!

They recently moved from a much smaller building into a newly redesigned and finished space. I tell you what. I think dogs are absolutely gorgeous and special animals. However, Karma here knows he's extra fabulous! He is a German Shorthair Pointer that can frequently be seen in the show ring. In fact, after our session together, I went to one of his shows and he won Best of Breed right then and there! Right?!?!?!
