I seriously love working with this couple every. single. time. Meet KeenDog Training! You’ve seen them over here so many times and they have the absolute best dogs (and clients). They hire me every couple years as their pack of pups changes. This time we got to photograph Sagat, Timber, and Amelia for their social media and for artwork on their walls.

UberDog

UberDog

Photographing seven dogs is quite the undertaking. However, I knew that this shoot would be an exception because these guys are UberDogs. Literally!

These pups are the special furkids of the amazing trainers at UberDog Training, one of the premier training companies in the Charlotte area. It’s jaw-dropping what these pups can do - fly through the sky, jump through hoops, bounce off of trees, weave... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Eva and Sadie - May Flowers

A few weeks ago, my dogs were restless and needed a nice break from their normal stomping grounds. I felt the same way. Plus, I needed to make sure the location I selected for a commercial shoot was looking nice and spring-like.

We hopped in the car and went to one of my favorite shooting locations (I often recommend this secret place to my clients). As we walked to my favorite field, we turned the corner and I was almost blinded by...(click on the image above to continue reading)

Mo

Great Dane's are known to have a fairly short lifespan compared to other pups. Luckily, Mo has graced this Earth for 12 whole years and his family feels very lucky. Although he's showing his age with some arthritis, shaky legs, and weight loss, Mo's still enjoying hanging out in the backyard with his human and other doggy family members. We spent a lovely afternoon together doing just that. :) This is the goofy side of Mo... This outtake just HAD to be shared. Mo does NOT look happy that his humans are laughing at the fact that he got drool everywhere. Oh Mo...Charlotte Great Dane Photographer

I hope Mo's family enjoys their sneak peek! I hope to see him again soon!

Lola and Charo

As most of you may know, Chihuahuas can be a little shy and tend to get nervous around new people and new big, black objects looking at them (aka, the camera). When I first met Lola and Charo, I took the safe approach and greeted them with treats and stayed down on their level. Charo, the long-haired fuzzy one of the pair, instantly was a fan! Anyone that gave her attention was a-ok in her book. Lola was a little more timid but I could tell she would eventually come out of her shell. As a matter of fact, I was 99% sure that she would be a camera ham by the end. (Spoiler alert! I was right!) Most of the session was shot with cloudy skies - something I normally avoid. However, they worked in our favor since we wanted to capture the background of the lake.
