Ernie, Rookie and Lola

Ernie, Rookie and Lola

You guys!!!! I don't even know if I can handle everything that happened during my Charleston/Folly Beach sessions. Seriously. It was magic every. single. day. The last day with this crew was no exception.

These three are no stranger to my camera. In fact, they have be "tortured" by me several times (according to Rookie) for the artwork that is hanging in their moms' clinic - Brawley Animal Hospital. They've been wanting to do a beach session... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Beckham

Beckham

It's Friday so that means I have to wrap up the week of the lovely Charleston foursome. I've had a blast sharing each of these lovely pups with you and I hope you've enjoyed getting to know them! As a side note. These furry love bugs belong to Dana Cubbage, an UH-mazing wedding photographer in the Charleston area. Def check her out if you are in the market for a wedding photog!

So last but not least, I bring you Beckham. Dana and I have been friends on Facebook for many years and I actually remember when she brought Beckham in as a foster. He was so little and in need of lots of love and care. He was found in a parking lot all by himself at just 6 weeks... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Sunday

Sunday

When Sunday jumped out of the car, I immediately fell in love. Yeah...that big block head, huge smile and wiggly bum sucked me right in. Then, as if it couldn't get any better, her mom pulled out this amazing floral necklace for Sunday to wear (and it didn't even phase her one bit!). The soft greens, pinks, and corals of the collar played so well against the pastels of Historic Charleston. It was magical!!!

Sunday's story is equally inspiring. She was in a high-kill shelter... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Brady

Brady

Wanna meet a super lovable and cuddly Golden? Well, I introduce you to Brady! At 10 1/2 years young, he could be the fluffiest, most treat-loving dog ever!

Brady has epilepsy and has to take meds 4 times a day to control his seizures. His mom jokes that he's high all the time and it certainly made his session time easy - he was pretty chill and easy-going. Haha! It even started to... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Camden

Camden

Sometimes things in life just work out. Even after trouble and turmoil, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Sadly, a few weeks before my Charleston/Folly Beach sessions were scheduled to take place, Camden was rushed to the emergency room and immediately went into surgery for mass on his spleen and a belly full of blood. Despite the trauma of the event, Camden came through and started to recover.

There were talks of coming down to Charleston early to make sure we'd get his session in but, happily, Camden was getting... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Charleston Foursome

Charleston Foursome

This is going to be a special week over in my blog world! Each day this week I'm going to feature one dog from the pack you see below. This amazing foursome is comprised of (from left to right) Brady, Beckham, Sunday, and Camden.

Over a two day period, we wandered the streets of Historic Charleston capturing all the lovely architecture, greenery, and super-cool textures we could. We dodged raindrops, other dogs, tourists, horses, and more, but these dogs didn't skip a beat! I was amazed at how focused... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Tsunami, Rylie, Turk and Tilda

Tsunami, Rylie, Turk and Tilda

When you photograph four dogs in one session, it can get to be hard work. Throw in an impending thunderstorm, and the pressure is ON! Thankfully, during this photo shoot, I had four amazing furry models that made the entire experience such a pleasure.

The main focus of the session was sweet Tsunami, a 14-year-young Doberman. She has some mobility issues so we stayed close to home so she'd be comfortable. She was able to hang out in the yard and watch as the rainbow came... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Patch and Baxter

Patch and Baxter

Patch and Baxter. Don't those names just scream cuteness?!? When their mom booked their session, she sent over a picture of the two of them and I about melted right there in my chair. The big floppy ears on Baxter and the super-fuzzy black and white marking on Patch stole my heart. These two are quite the pair.

Patch is the Lab/Jack Russell big brother and enjoys his younger sibling enough to wrestle and play keep-away. He'll do anything for a treat and when he looks up at you with those amazing golden eyes, you'll be feeding him non-stop! Usually his brother... (click on the image above to continue reading)
