It's so wonderful to be out shooting again! And in one of my favorite places in the Valley - Tom's Thumb. And the best part of it all? Jethro, my model!
This spunky, smart little dude is seriously part mountain goat. He can climb a boulder with the best of them. He was jumping... (click on the image above to continue reading)
OMG! This little fluffernut! I about died when I met Daisy. I was almost certain she wasn't real...like a stuffed animal you could buy from the "super adorable" section of the toy store. And then she moved. And I squealed! Then she took... (click on the image above to continue reading)
Marlie’s Grace’s session took place the day after Thanksgiving. Once you scroll down and see the images, you’ll know why that is of significance. We were seriously on a boat! In Lake Norman!!! At the end of November!!!! What? This winter has definitely had it’s share of craziness!
But on to the adorable Marlie Grace…
Marlie Grace is a new-ish addition to her gorgeous family. I actually photographed her sister, Fergie, in 2014. This was right about the... (click on the image above to continue reading)
I met Rocco years and years ago at an American Cancer Society event, Bark For Life. Since then, I’ve been following his mom on Instagram and have been keeping tabs on this handsome black Cocker Spaniel. I was tickled pink when his mom decided to move forward and book a session for him!
After many weather delays, we finally lucked out on a lovely sunny December afternoon. We visited Rocco’s old stomping grounds, Latta Park in Dilworth. He used to walk there almost every day when his mom lived in the... (click on the image above to continue reading)
When you get to photograph a puppy, I instantly think of a tiny fluff ball full of energy bouncing around in front of my camera. Granted, Eisenhower (or Ike for short) was 8-ish months at the time of our session, he was as cool, calm, and collected as a Bernese 10 times his age. I think he wanted to keep his chill face on even though I personally think he was playing off the fact that the click of the shutter made him a little nervous.
We started of our shoot in Ike’s newly redesigned back yard. They had a new pool, spa, deck and grass. It was Ike’s own little paradise! And, that’s when the puppy came... (click on the image above to continue reading)
Get ready for some serious #puglife cuteness overload!!!
Jake and Odin mean business when it comes to rockin’ it out for a shoot. They both immediately went into superstar mode and did their thing for the camera. It was pretty comical to watch. They even did amazing for their group shots - always hard images to capture!
Because of their fabulous talents, we were able to quickly explore all different parts of Jetton Park in Cornelius, including the golden... (click on the image above to continue reading)
Time for another surprise session! Christmas is way over so now I can share! Woohoo!!!
This session with Lady and Precious was a surprise gift for their 2-legged dad. Despite rain delays in November, we were able to pull it off just in time for Christmas delivery. :) Of course, it helped that these two sisters were so helpful with their modeling skills!
Lady is a cute little Cocker/Shi Tsu mix that has gotten to be a little skittish in her older age (she is 13). After some hesitation about the camera... (click on the image above to continue reading)
Photographing seven dogs is quite the undertaking. However, I knew that this shoot would be an exception because these guys are UberDogs. Literally!
These pups are the special furkids of the amazing trainers at UberDog Training, one of the premier training companies in the Charlotte area. It’s jaw-dropping what these pups can do - fly through the sky, jump through hoops, bounce off of trees, weave... (click on the image above to continue reading)
This post should be all about Chewie but I'm going to mostly focus on his amazing parents.
Chewie is a recently adopted hospice pup whose new parents have made it their mission to give a home to elderly dogs from the Poodle rescue they work closely with. I had the honor of photographing their first hospice case in 2014 - Chippendale. Sadly, Chippendale crossed Rainbow Bridge and, despite the heartache, his parents... So if my memory serves me correctly, I'm pretty sure I squealed with delight when I meet the tiny pair of Lilly and Molly. These two couldn't be more opposite in looks when it comes to small dogs. Lilly is a fluffy, white, curlicue Maltipoo while Molly is a dark, wiry, big-eared Pomanauze. Both are super adorable in their own rights but, put them together and they make the ultimate duo!
These ladies were unbelievable tennis ball gurus despite their small size. I was so surprised at their agility and speed! After some quick posing...(click on the image above to continue reading)
It's 2016!!!! Time for new beginnings, fresh starts, and new goals. I have a feeling this year is going to be bringing some pretty amazing things. More on that to come soon!
As we get a jump start into 2016, I'll be getting you caught up on Fall/Winter sessions from 2015. As you probably remember, this past Fall was basically a bust for us in the South. We had weeks and weeks and weeks of rain. In fact, we had over 10 inches of rain in...(click on the image above to continue reading)
Time for another surprise session!
This time I had the honor to work with the absolute gorgeous and amazing Gunner for some Christmas gifts and artwork for my client's fabulous new home. I was pretty blown away as soon as I laid eyes on this seriously stunning boy. His white fur was so...(click on the image above to continue reading)
