Rip

Rip

Back on a beautiful day in October, I met one of the sweetest and gorgeous black Labs ever! This smiley handsome guy is Rip. Rip is a repeat client's boyfriend's dog and we had this secret special session as a surprise for his birthday. We got sooooo lucky and hit the weather right before our 5 or 6 weeks straight of rain and right when the leaves started to turn.

I know it took a ton of control for Rip's mom to keep this a secret...but she totally...(click on the image above to continue reading)

Catching up

Catching up

Wow! This Fall has been a crazy swirl of shoots, reschedules (seriously...over 10 inches of rain in November!!!!), and piles of editing. I've been neglecting the blog as a result, but I promise there is so much goodness I have to share as soon as things settle down.

Last night I had my last private client session of 2015 and thought I'd share one quick edit from that amazing evening...(click on the image above to continue reading)

Millie & Marlowe Beach Session

Millie & Marlowe Beach Session

It's always such an honor when a client comes back for more photos of their furbabies! After Millie and Marlowe's first session, there were already talks of doing a beach session. I was so excited when their mom contacted me after I announced by Folly Beach shoots!!! I'd get to work with this amazing family again?!? Heck yeah!!!

Millie and Marlowe's first session took place when they were just puppies (check out their first session HERE). They were so small and bouncy and we produced some of... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Ernie, Rookie and Lola

Ernie, Rookie and Lola

You guys!!!! I don't even know if I can handle everything that happened during my Charleston/Folly Beach sessions. Seriously. It was magic every. single. day. The last day with this crew was no exception.

These three are no stranger to my camera. In fact, they have be "tortured" by me several times (according to Rookie) for the artwork that is hanging in their moms' clinic - Brawley Animal Hospital. They've been wanting to do a beach session... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Beckham

Beckham

It's Friday so that means I have to wrap up the week of the lovely Charleston foursome. I've had a blast sharing each of these lovely pups with you and I hope you've enjoyed getting to know them! As a side note. These furry love bugs belong to Dana Cubbage, an UH-mazing wedding photographer in the Charleston area. Def check her out if you are in the market for a wedding photog!

So last but not least, I bring you Beckham. Dana and I have been friends on Facebook for many years and I actually remember when she brought Beckham in as a foster. He was so little and in need of lots of love and care. He was found in a parking lot all by himself at just 6 weeks... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Sunday

Sunday

When Sunday jumped out of the car, I immediately fell in love. Yeah...that big block head, huge smile and wiggly bum sucked me right in. Then, as if it couldn't get any better, her mom pulled out this amazing floral necklace for Sunday to wear (and it didn't even phase her one bit!). The soft greens, pinks, and corals of the collar played so well against the pastels of Historic Charleston. It was magical!!!

Sunday's story is equally inspiring. She was in a high-kill shelter... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Brady

Brady

Wanna meet a super lovable and cuddly Golden? Well, I introduce you to Brady! At 10 1/2 years young, he could be the fluffiest, most treat-loving dog ever!

Brady has epilepsy and has to take meds 4 times a day to control his seizures. His mom jokes that he's high all the time and it certainly made his session time easy - he was pretty chill and easy-going. Haha! It even started to... (click on the image above to continue reading)

Camden

Camden

Sometimes things in life just work out. Even after trouble and turmoil, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Sadly, a few weeks before my Charleston/Folly Beach sessions were scheduled to take place, Camden was rushed to the emergency room and immediately went into surgery for mass on his spleen and a belly full of blood. Despite the trauma of the event, Camden came through and started to recover.

There were talks of coming down to Charleston early to make sure we'd get his session in but, happily, Camden was getting... (click on the image above to continue reading)
